Dolores Griffith was born May 4th in Upstate, New York. She is the 3rd child of 9 children born to Mr. & Mrs. Brooks. She is known for always being busy doing something among her family members. Sister Griffith attended Cohocton Central School and at the age of 15 she moved to Queens, New York. There Sister Griffith attended Francis Lewis High school in Flushing, New York.
Later on her life Sister Griffith was told she needed to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and in April 1978 she was. When she attended a service at Christ Pentecostal Church it was there she received the Holy Ghost on May 2, 1978. Sister Griffith later migrated to the True Deliverance Church where she has faithfully served her Pastor Elder Milton Lashley and the First Lady Maria Lashley in various capacities.
Over the span of Sister Dolores Griffith’s life she has been blessed to serve in various leadership capacities. She gives a lot of credit to her family for her hard work and drive. It was her dad Mr. William Brooks who taught her from a child to “share with others” and to “be kind to your fellow man”; certainly he has been her role model and hero. Her professional career allowed her to work on Wall Street for 22 years at Goldman Sachs in New York City as a financial Librarian. Those were some of the most rewarding years of her as she credits them for giving her the knowledge she need to do her life’s work which was is to serve the people of God everywhere.
Sister Griffith has worked faithfully on the local, district and international levels of Church of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith Inc. Internationally she has served as a Recording Secretary, Vice President and current Superintendent of the International Sunday School Association. She has worked in the Tri-District Diocese of New York as a Recording Secretary for 3 years. Locally she has worked at her home church True Deliverance with the Armor Bearers Young Peoples Union (A.B.Y.P.U.) as President for 26 years. She has been a licensed Missionary for over 30 years, Sunday School teacher, and currently she serves as the Secretary for True Deliverance Church. Much of her tutelage and training has come from her beloved late Pastor, Bishop Crosley J. Cook, who taught her to have much patience.
Sister Dolores Griffith also has served in the community on various community and educational boards including, the Board of Education School Leadership Team (S.L.T.) and Parent Association Executive Board. Sister Dolores Griffith is the proud mother of three lovely children and also the wife of Elder Ronald Griffith for the past 30 years. Sister Griffith gives all the glory to God.
